Hi.
My name is Krizmon, and I would like to talk about food and drink, two of my
most predominant interests. For the size of the population of SI, our
citizens consume a low amount of alcoholic drinks. With this in mind, SI
citizens also seem to have peculiar palettes, because the selection of liquors
and beers requested to remain in stock is remarkably wide and diversified.
We believe this comes not only from our multi-national populations but also from
our odd level of sophistication. The companies that import these products
find themselves ordering small amounts of specific product from small towns in
the world. As our beer-drinking groups reads and learns about new
micro-breweries, there is usually an order within weeks delivered. Our
restaurants are often stocked by the patrons themselves with the idea of having
a precise wine but not trying to add to the burden of the shopkeeper. The
customer buys the stock then allows the proprietor to mark it up and serve
it. This "agreement" has led to some unique stocks. The
patron always orders enough that the restaurant or tavern owner can sell it
openly to others as well. This provides a wide assortment of amazing
drinks including those mixed from ingredients that should explode when
mixed.....of course they don't explode outside the patron, but rather, inside
where it should. It is hoped that his "personality trait" of our
citizens rubs off on those of you advertising your beverages and fine
foods. Those of us who prefer non-alcoholic drinks and fine foods to go
with delicious product would be delighted if our selections were as
varied. As far as fine foods go, our restaurants reflect our eclectic
tastes and willingness to try new dishes. A number of our establishments
feature menus that have entrees actually formulated by our own patrons. If
you total it all up, the basic SI person likes to eat and drink.

Partial Listing of the World's Beers
The following list of world beers has been provided by Jonathon and Betty Del Gattos of SI's premium importer, Del Gattos Imports. Since it was produced upon request by the Executive Staff for use on this site, it will be updated as more information is accumulated. According to Betty, there are many, many beers produced around the world, particularly because of how long beer has been produced. Like wine, many are location-specific. Our thanks to the Del Gattos' and their staff.
