Shoppolis Islands Information

I am the personal secretary to the Executive Director of NavyShips.  My name is Gilda, and I have to look good.  Everyone likes fashion, personal accouterments and just looking good given the occasion, and the citizens of SI are no different.     What is different is the variety offered to so few by so many.  I should know, because I have to dress for the customer, no matter where he or she comes from in the world.  Part of this comes from the level of wealth in SI, which is higher than in most areas of the world, and the other is our sense of fashion.  In Shoppolis City, we have what we call "Fashioning" which is promenading around the city coastline and city streets in the evening like folks did in the 1880s.  You put on your finest image and find a partner or group to walk with.  Then, you find a route you like, and off you go.  Nodding at one another, stopping to chat and admire what the other is wearing and showing that what you have purchased has brought on a fine feeling.  Our designers are quite few on SI because of the limited market, but we do have some of note.  Sam Ho is an example of a person who has combined our tropical environment with the requirements of formal evenings.   He is achieving some world-wide acclaim, but he admits it is difficult to run a world like his from a tropical island in the middle of an ocean.  Sam says he is content with is islandic clientele, and he believes the rest will come with time.  We believe him, and appear at special occasions dressed in his designs. It is important to address the needs of the people, and we believe that people come to SI to shop and to show their stuff.  We welcome you to our array of wonderful fashion and cosmetics advertisers.

Drake Cummins, Dayle Wright, Do Sen and Karen Crabtree run International Cloth & Style with the idea that if they don't carry what you want, give them 7 days.  So far, no one has been disappointed.  The four of them together can find almost anything and get it shipped in right in time for whatever you had planned.  They carry cosmetics and more.  Recently, they even added a nail parlor with international craftspeople working there.  We asked them for a list of fashion designers to give you an idea of the number of excellent designers there were, and Do said that she could give us a partial listing, because there were many more to be added to the list.  She said that she will add to it in the near future, and we are looking forward to it.  The same came true with the list of cosmetic companies.  Thanks crew for what you got for us.
