Shoppolis Islands Hotel, Resort and Playland Aspect

In many ways, Shoppolis Islands is one big resort with hotels and playlands. My name is Joan Kresni, and it is my responsibility on SI to make sure that everyone has a good time at our resorts, hotels and playlands. I am president of the SI Association of Recreational Establishments. Let me begin to explain the aspects of my science to you all, and start with South Beach, our capitol of fun. Small to large hotel firms occupy some of the largest portions of the South Beach landing for cruise ships, and some actually provide resort-level services and accommodations. There are a number of playlands from entertainment piers to actual playlands on street acreage. SI citizens like to play, and even when the tropical rains fall, and the streets run with water, the diehards are still out playing. Surfing is a big sport, particularly in The Shallows off the south end of West Island. Swimming is everywhere; personal watercraft buzz all around the areas acting as commuter vehicles as well as sports items. There are natural pools, man-made pools and lakes, small rivers and falls, waterslides and underwater paradises. Food abounds as does the beauty around us. Games of chance are easy to find, nightclubs are in the hotels as well as standing by themselves. There are tours run by Rich and Alice Bountee; bicycling excursions, our own tour liner, the Point of View out of Crescent Island, and diving and fishing chartering. Yachts can be rented, and crews are ready to take you anywhere. Blanche Kirby and her crew of six, take the fishing yacht DeesWayMon many miles out to see to satisfy the most adventurous fisherpeople. Partners Donald Scales and Pietro di Nicola, offer photographic excursions aboard their vessel, SnappShott, their helicopter, Whirlee, as well as their floatplane, Fat Bird. Shahna Pils and Greta Homer Smith coordinate their efforts to keep the Bantam Rooster Lodge in North Beach open. It is the only real Vermont, USA, log-cabin structure on SI. We do have a number of piling buildings that look much like log cabins and are built on the same concepts. If just having a good time is the order of the day, SI is well equipped to service the most-demanding of customers.
