Shoppolis Islands Information

Hi.  My name is Curt, and I have been asked to give you an idea of how we, on SI, address our most important aspect, namely, our homes.  I sell appliances, but I have a long history in home systems.  When it comes to amenities that can be worked into the buildings of Shoppolis Islands, our tenants take second place to none.  Our stores abound with appliances, furniture, lighting fixtures, and other household goodies.  In this category, we are much like the western hemisphere.  When it comes to the decoration side, the eastern hemisphere commands, except for the items you would find in a typical South Pacific home untouched by either the west or east.  Eclectic items are in high demand, and Ellis Pierce, owner and operator of Internetting Services, knows a lot about these things.  In order to reduce unnecessary competition between direct internet access and going through a local store, the citizens of SI have come to a conclusion.  If a store cannot find an item, Ellis is called to try to locate the item, since he is a whiz at this type of thing, since not everyone can find exactly what he or she wants all the time even if they have a computer and know the internet.  If, also, an individual person wants to have Ellis find something, he does for the same reasons.  He does not charge, if he does not find which makes him more than competitive.  Combining all these with a long list of appliance dealers, manufacturer's reps and other professionals, SI has most of the bases covered.  Many adjoining island groups find Ellis and SI a more convenient shopping place than going to Australia, New Zealand or other large complexes.  SI has just the right combination, which is controlled to a degree by our licenses to do business.  If the CC (competition coefficient) is too high, meaning too many competitors in the large equation, no more licences are issued in that business.  Some might say that that blocks development.  Well, it does, and yes, we do.  We are not completely Social Darwinists when it comes to our own people.  We are somewhat selective and fussy that way.
