    Shoppolis Islands Information

My name is Adanya, and I am descended from a long line of African tribespeople.  I am also a participant in the Original Continent Players.  Shoppolis Islands is about as far from Broadway in New York as you can get, yet our citizens seem to gravitate to whatever street in whatever city in whatever country to see shows.  We also import as many as we can and play them in any SI theater that will take them.  Summer stock for many casts find SI a wonderful place to practice.  We don't mind being guinea pigs for their experiments in entertainment.  SI citizens see plenty of movies, and our rental shops do a booming business, but live shows capture our hearts to such a degree that we have our own Thespians and Musical Entertainers.  Parks abound with entertainers showing their talents in the open air, and concerts are very popular, but when the curtain comes up, there is a hush as the show begins.  Since SI is not your normal place to see shows, it makes it that much more enchanting when those of you who wish to advertise shows or tell the world about your brand of entertainment come to us.  It is our pleasure to serve the entertainment community.

Some of the Best Shows Ever

Some of the Best Shows Ever

Eric Chin and Emily Cannes put together a grouping of shows from the USA that they think represent the best in shows for everyone everywhere.  Since the USA enjoys shows, it spawns some of the best, and we would like to tell which ones Eric and Emily have selected.  We thank them for their efforts.  We also understand that both will be performing in the Primrose Theater in South Beach soon.  They are performing a musical by one of our own SI writer's talents, Bradford Lilly.  It is called "Trollops of the Tropics," which amuses those of us who wonder if he is writing from experience or old letters.  Eric is headed for Broadway, if he has anything to say about it, and Emily is headed for Paris to join a group there.  'We wish them both well.
